Rushmoor Community Lottery celebrates five fantastic years!
18 October 2022
On Tuesday 6 September, we celebrated five fantastic years of the Rushmoor Community Lottery with a special event at the Farnborough Air Sciences Museum.
Rushmoor Borough Council set up the lottery five years ago as a way for local community groups, sports clubs, good causes and charities to raise funds for their work. In that time an amazing £158,117 has been raised and more than 260,000 lottery tickets have been sold!
During the evening, we also presented grants totalling £18,179 to 13 good causes who successfully applied for grants from the Rushmoor Community Fund. You can see who received a grant and what they will use the funding for on the Rushmoor Borough Council website.
A weekly lottery ticket costs £1, with half of the money going straight to a local good cause chosen by the supporter, and a further 10p to the Rushmoor Community Fund. The supporter has the chance to win up to £25,000 with every ticket.
Thank you to everyone that joined us and also to everyone already supporting the Rushmoor Community Lottery, every single ticket purchased makes a real difference.
